Evelyn Joyce Sircy, 67

  Evelyn Joyce Sircy, age 67, passed away Sun., Jan. 18, 2009, at her residence. Funeral services for Evelyn Joyce Sircy were conducted Wed., Jan. 21, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Peeler and Frank Fox officiating.

Bryan Sircy, Aaron Sircy, Ronald Birdwell, Steve Cothron, Charles Lee, and Gene Holland served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Cold Springs Cemetery. Evelyn Joyce Sircy was born on, Aug. 12, 1941, in Allen County, KY.  She was the daughter of the late Wade and Myrtie Eloise Blankenship Whittemore. She was married to John Sircy on July 14, 1961, sharing forty-eight years together and raising three children; John survives. Besides her parents; brothers, Robert Whittemore, Hillous D. Whittemore, and two infants, also preceded her in death. Evelyn was employed for Holland and Sircy Sawmill, working in the office. Evelyn enjoyed traveling, sewing, crossword puzzles and decorating her home. She was a homemaker, devoted mother, and a member of the Walton Chapel Church of Christ. Besides her husband, she is survived by; sons, Keith (Lisa) Sircy of Lafayette, Tenn., Ken (Virginia) Sircy of Cookeville, Tenn.; daughter, J. J. (Jon) Blankenship of Lafayette, Tenn.; sister, Lera (O.C.) Taylor of Indiana; grandchildren, Bryan Sircy, Haley Blankenship, Megan Sircy, Aaron Sircy, and Lucas Blankenship.
