Harold James Fryman, age 64

Harold James Fryman, age 64, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Sun., Jan. 25, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services for Harold James Fryman were conducted Wed., Jan. 28, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Guthrie Thompson, Elder Mike Carver, and Elder Terry Austin officiating.

Neal Ferguson, Timmy Smith, Billy Paul Carver, David Carver, Mark Carver, Norman Dial, JR, Tim Smith, and Ronald Smith served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Harold James Fryman was born on Feb. 17, 1944 in Toledo, OH. He was the biological son of the late Cy and Beulah Smith Fryman. He come to Lafayette when he was six weeks old to stay with his grandparents, Sterling and Berthie Smith, who raised him as their son, they preceded him in death. Besides his grandparents and biological parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant son, James Michael Fryman. He married the former Barbara Sue Carver, sharing forty-eight years and raising two sons and two daughters together; Barbara survives. Harold worked for Hackett Precision Company for thirty-seven years. He enjoyed having a good time, joking, and being around people. He was a very devoted father, spending his spare time with his children, going to their school or sports activities. He loved good gospel singing, Harold and Barbara would go whenever they could; The Inspirations were his favorite group. He was a loving father and grandfather that will be greatly missed. Besides his wife, he is survived by; sons, Dale (Beth) Fryman, Chris (Tonja) Fryman all of Lafayette, Tenn.; daughters, Beverly Fryman of Lafayette, TN, Brandy (Paul) Harris JR. of Gordonsville, Tenn.; sister, Bonnie Dial of Elkhart, IN; and nine grandchildren.
