Thomas Glenn Summers, 42

  Thomas Glenn Summers, age 42, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2009, at the Hendersonville Medical Center. Funeral services for Thomas Glenn Summers were conducted Wed., Feb. 11, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ronnie Cherry officiating.

Kenny Summers, Little John Warner, David Matthews, Troy Centers, David Fisher, and David Long served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Thomas was born to Carl Douglas and the late Pauline Bergdorf Summers, better known as “Billy and Polly”. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by; brother, Carl Allen Summers and Kenneth Summers. Thomas was a carpenter for the Driver Construction Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general. Thomas collected arrow heads and loved his music.  He cherished his time with his children and family. Thomas attended the Bethel Family Worship Center. He is survived by; son, Malachi Summers, daughter, Deneshia Summers, father, “Billy” Carl Summers, brothers Larry Summers, Wayne (Shirley) Summers, Richard (Kim) Summers and Jason Summers, all of Lafayette, Tenn., sister, Patricia (Bo) Sanders of Gainsboro, Tenn., mother of his children, Daphne Summers of Westmoreland, Tenn.
