Ken Dickerson, 60

Ken Dickerson, age 60 of Pleasant Shade, Tenn. passed away Fri., Feb. 27, 2009 at his residence. Funeral services for Ken Dickerson were conducted Fri., March 6, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Elder Junior Dickerson officiating. Interment followed in the Smith County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

Family and friends served as pallbearers. Ken was born Fri., July 30, 1948 in Lebanon, Tenn., one of two siblings born to Barry Dickerson of Pleasant Shade, Tenn., and the late Nancy Frances Gregory Dickerson. Besides his mother, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Phil Dickerson. He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church and a farmer. Ken served his country in Vietnam receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Survivors besides his father, Barry include daughters , Susan Crowder, Kim (Eric)  Chumley; grandchildren, Sydney Shoulders, Ben Chumley and Josh Crowder all of Hartsville, Tenn.; Uncle, Wayne (Sue) Dickerson, Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; niece, Lindsey (Ethan) Underwood, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; nephew, Chris (Karen) Dickerson, Lebanon, Tenn.
