Henry Clay Langdon, JR., 82

Henry Clay Langdon, JR., age 82, passed away March 12, 2009, at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services were conducted Sat., March 14, 2009 from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Terry Hagan officiating.

Jamie Leewright, Jonathan Collis, Stephen Langdon, Jaran Collis, Chase Duke, and Marek Matheson served as pallbearers. Interment will follow later in the Itasca Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. Henry was born to the late Henry Clay and Alice Lula Robinson Langdon on April 3, 1926. He married the former Ardelle Marie Witkotsky on Dec. 16, 1966, sharing forty-two years together, Ardelle survives. Besides his parents; brother, Reese Langdon and sister, Elba Walton also, preceded him in death. Henry served in the United States Navy during World War II; he worked various construction jobs as a Certified Welder, and later moved to Lafayette, Tennessee to work for the TVA, as an iron worker, retiring in 1985. Henry was a member of the Limousin Cattle Association and Iron Workers Local 409 in Amarillo, TX. He was the father of three children, who he loved greatly. Henry attended the Akersville Missionary Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald (Susan) Langdon of Tulsa, OK, daughters and son-in-law, Donna (Mike) Leewright of Bristow, OK and Gail Collis of Tulsa, OK, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, brothers, Elbert Langdon of Holdenville, Ok, and Leo Langdon of Elmore City, OK.
