Orpha Poteet Kirby Kittrell, 91

Orpha Poteet Kirby Kittrell, age 91 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away Fri., March 20, 2009 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs. Funeral Services for Orpha Poteet Kirby Kittrell were conducted Sun., March 22, 2009 from the chapel of the  Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with E. C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery.

Her family and friends served as pallbearers. Orpha Poteet Kirby Kittrell was born May 13, 1917 in Clay County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Walter and Lula Coffelt Poteet. On May 31, 1937, she married Jake Kirby, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1962. She later married Donald Kittrell on July 8, 1967, who also preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1991. Besides her husbands and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charlie and Grady Poteet and step-daughter, Abilene Oliver. She was a member of the Bakerton Church of Christ and a Store Clerk with 25 years of service. Survivors include, sons & daughter-in-law, Earl Ray & Nina Kirby, Red Boiling Springs, Harold Wayne Kirby, Clearwater, FL, step-daughter, Shelby (Pete) Peterson, White House, Tenn., step-sons, Donald Ray Kittrell, Philadelphia, PA, David (Morene) Kittrell, Mt. Juliet, Tenn., host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
