William Cordell Carter, 84

Mr. William Cordell Carter, age 84, of Gallatin, formerly of Westmoreland, passed away, Wed., March 25, 2009 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Carter were Sat., March 28th from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Willie Leduc officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Annie Blanche Carter of Gallatin; daughter Rebecca & (James) Hodges of Gallatin; son William Ray & (Linda) Carter of Gallatin; grandchildren Donna & (Allen) Brown of Murfreesboro and Leigh & (Ronnie) Tennant of Gallatin; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Albia E. and Leona Creasy Carter. Mr. Carter was retired from Vic Jenkins of Gallatin.
