Christine Harris Ellison, 48

Christine Harris Ellison, age 48, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away April 1, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Fri., April 3, 2009, from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Russell Cain officiating. Interment followed in the Pony-McDonald Cemetery in Macon County, Tenn.

Christine was born to the late Carol Aucoin Harris Draper and the late James Alexander Harris III. As a young woman she was married to Charles Wayne Harris, sharing one son. In 1999, she was married to Tracey Ellison, who preceded her in death in 2002. Besides her spouse and father; step-father, Dewey “Red” Draper, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Harris Jr. and grandparents, Lawrence and Mary Aucoin, also preceded him in death. Christine was a graduate from DeVry University with a Bachelors Degree in accounting.  She had worked the last 5∏ years at Genesco in the Traffic Department where she served as the Corporate Logistics Consolidation Services Analyst. In the words of her co-workers, she was an incredibly sweet and intelligent person that would do anything for anyone. The entire company loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed and will never be forgotten. She was a religious person who loved her family deeply and showed kindness to everyone. She is survived by; Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and wife Dusty Harris, Mother, Carol Draper and special friend Robert Herod, Grandchildren, Tanner and Jessie Harris, all of Lafayette, Tenn., Sister, Kay Harris and Fiancé Tom Gibson of Jefferson City, Tenn., Special Friend, Elaine Hooper of Murfreesboro, Tenn.
