Daisy Moss Vaughn, 96

Daisy Moss Vaughn, age 96, of Madison, Tenn., and formerly of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away April 2, 2009, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Madison, Tenn. Funeral services were conducted Sat., April 4, 2009, from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Rich officiating. Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.

Daisy was born to the late Jim and Belle Williams Moss on Aug. 24, 1912. She was married to Charles Eston Vaughn in 1939, sharing thirty years together, and raising one son and one daughter. Charles preceded her in death in 1969. Besides her spouse and parents; brother, Scott and Edward Moss, half-brothers, Bill, Charlie, and Homer Moss, half-sister, Ovie Savens, and Alma York, also preceded her in death. Ms. Daisy grew up working around the Hotels as a young girl, in later years she became the Cafeteria Manager at Red Boiling Springs School. She was a very loving lady that enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. Her favorite book to read was the Bible.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Red Boiling Springs. She is survived by; Son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Vaughn, and daughter, Patsy and husband Bobby Davenport of Goodlettsville, Tenn., sister, Janet Hasslock of Nashville, Tenn., and Louise Wells of Louisville, KY, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
