Opal (Joines) Butler, age 88 of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. passed away Sat., April 11, 2009 at the Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas in Nashville, Tenn. Funeral Service for Opal (Joines) Butler will be conducted Wed., April 15, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Jimmy Cook officiating.

Interment followed in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Kelly Butler, Roger Butler, Chris Butler, Branden Butler, Jonathon Butler, Addison Butler, Trevor McCreary and Corey McCreary served as Pallbearers. Opal was born Sat. Dec. 4, 1920 in Macon County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Silas Crit and Essie Beulah (Compton) Joines. She married Milton Butler July 18, 1937 who preceded her in death April 30, 1994. Other than her parents and husband she was preceded in death by, sister, Dixie Lee, infant son and great-granddaughter, Kasi Young.  She was owner and operator of Opal’s Beauty Shop in Red Boiling Springs for many years and of the Church of Christ belief. She is survived by her son, Steve (Linda) Butler of Nashville, sisters, Edith Bean of Nashville, Jo (Roy) Knight of Hermitage Springs, Community, and Dinky Jenkins of Red Boiling Springs, brothers, Fay (Pat) Joines of Lafayette,   and Bobby (Francis) Joines of Colona, IL, grandsons, Kelly (Lynelle) Butler of Marysville, MI, Roger (Amanda) Butler of Nashville and Chris Butler of Marysville, MI, great-grandchildren, Branden, Jonathon and Addison Butler, Trevor and Corey McCreary,  Braden Green and a host of nieces and nephews.  Arrangements by the Phillip Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
