Emma Boles Hagan, 82

Emma Boles Hagan, age 82, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away Sat., April 11, 2009 at her residence on Gamaliel Rd. in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. Funeral Services for Ms. Emma will be conducted Thur., April 16, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Elders Terry Austin and Floyd Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Cemetery.

James Edgar Parkes, Mark Hix, Glendon Boles, Fay Etheridge, Tim Bohanan and Bobby Thomas served as pallbearers. Ms. Emma was born March 13, 1927 in Clay County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Lando and Ola (Brown) Boles other than her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Pigg, Ruby Hull and Pearlie Goolesby, brothers, Mark, Billy, Truman, Herman, Estes and Will Ed Boles. Jan. 11, 1947 she married James Hagan who survives. She was an inspector at Haywood Mfg. in Red Boiling Springs, a homemaker and a member of the Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. Other than her husband of 62 years her survivors include: daughter & son -in-law, Jean (Bill) Austin of Camarillo, CA, brother, Vester (Shirley) Boles of Indianapolis, IN, sister-in-law, Helen Boles of Franklin, Tenn. and a host of friends and neighbors.
