Cecelia Firth Rubright, 70

Cecelia Firth Rubright, age 70, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away May 8, 2009, at Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas. The family choose cremation. Funeral services were conducted Mon., May 11 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tony Long officiating.

Cecelia Firth Rubright was born on June 6, 1938 in Schuylkill County, PA, to the late James Richard and Antoinette Anna Grobelusky Firth. She was married to George William Rubright on June 09, 1956, sharing thirty-three years together; George preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1999. Besides her husband and parents; one brother, Gregory Firth, also preceded her in death. Cecelia had worked all her life; she was an Administrative Assistant for the Bus Service that her daughter and son-in-law owned for several years; before retiring. She loved animals; rescuing any that came to her door, feeding and comforting them. Cecelia loved traveling and working in her garden. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren where the joy of her life, she enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. She was of the Methodist Belief. She is survived by; sons, George (Tanya) Rubright III of Lafayette, Tenn., Brian (Flora) Rubright of Sioux Falls, SD, Craig (Debby) Rubright of Nashville, Tenn.; daughters, Tina (David) Weikel of Lafayette, Tenn., Trudy (John) Allen of Sharon Springs, KS, Lorelei (Scott) Gentry of Christiana, Tenn.; sisters, Joann Patricoff of North Miami Beach, FL, Yvonne Nixon of New Orleans, LA, nineteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren.
