Flossie Mae Cliburn Rollin, 86
Flossie Mae Cliburn Rollin, age 86, of Lebanon and formerly of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away May 21, 2009, at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Mon., May 25, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jerry Wix and Brother Landy Presley officiating. Johnnie Anderson, Jacob Shrum, Jesse Rollin, Kelly Rollin, Jr., Terry Rollin, and Anthony Guffy served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Eulia Cemetery.
Flossie Mae Cliburn Rollin was born on Jan. 26, 1923 in Macon County, Tenn., to the late Gilbert and Pearl Elizebeth Meador Cliburn. She was married to Jessie James Rollin on Jan. 27, 1940, sharing forty years together, and raising nine children, Jessie preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 1980. Besides her husband and parents; two sons, Keithie Joe Rollin, Barry Dale Rollin, two daughters, Mary Jo Blair Duffer, Peggy Gene Anderson, brothers, Johnny Gregory, Roosevelt Gregory, and an infant twin sister, also preceded her in death. Ms. Flossie was a homemaker and a farmers wife; she enjoyed being in the fields with her husband. She was a caring mother and grandmother, dedicating her life to her family and their happiness. She was of the Baptist belief. She is lovingly survived by; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly Eugene (Dianne) Rollin, SR. of Carthage, Tenn., James Edward, better known as “Red” (Jan) Rollin of Westmoreland, Tenn., daughters and sons-in-law, Polly (J. W.) Rollin of Westmoreland, Tenn., Linda Kay Allen, and Tina (Billy) Allen of Lebanon, Tenn., sister, Vassie Pearson of Alabama, Kathleen Hewitt of Nashville, Tenn., Dot Barbee of Lafayette, Tenn., twenty-two grandchildren, forty-nine great-grandchildren, and twenty-six great-great-grandchildren.
