Anthony Allen Summers, 19

Anthony Allen Summers, age 19, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away June 6, 2009. Funeral services were conducted Tues., June 9, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with James Warner officiating. Matt Gross, Kenny Summers, Luke Marlow, Chris Halsey, Richie Summers, and Brian Harper served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Anthony was born on August 22, 1989 in Sumner County, Tenn. to Lisa Kay Carver Summers and the late Carl Allen Summers. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Polly Summers; uncles, Tommy Summers, and Kenny Summers. Anthony was a 2007 graduate from Macon County High School. He had worked as a shift leader for KFC and Long John Silvers in Lafayette, Tenn. for the last two years. He was very talented; most of all drawing cartoon characters and pictures of his niece; he had planned to save up for college, so he could be an Architect. Anthony also liked learning how to play guitar, listening to music, and teaching his niece how to play X box video games. He loved being outdoors and going fishing. Anthony was a laid back country boy who cared deeply about others. Anthony’s life revolved around his family and especially his niece. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Lisa Summers and Timmy Hammock of the Siloam community in Macon County, Tenn.; sisters, Jennifer Summers and Allison Summers, niece, Destiney Summers all of Lafayette, Tenn.; grandparents, Euna Carver of Lafayette, Tenn., Bobby Carver of Westmoreland, Tenn., and Billy Summers of Lafayette, Tenn., several aunts, uncles, and cousins, also survive.
