David Baraw, 57

David Baraw, age 57, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away May 30, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Wed., June 3, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Anthony Hale officiating. Cremation followed the service.

David was born on July 19, 1951 in Tolland County, Connecticut to Muriel Ann Page Baraw and the late Durward Charles Baraw. He married the former Nancy Damon on June 25, 2005, she survives. He had one daughter, two sons and two step sons. David had retired on Oct. 31, 2006, from the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Connecticut, after thirty-four years as a machinist. David and his family had moved to Lafayette to be closer to Nancy’s family. He was a greeter at Lafayette Wal-Mart, where everyone enjoyed stopping and talking to him. David was a joy to be around, always smiling and kidding around with his family and friends, never a dull moment.  He was a member of the Tri County Cruisers Car Club and the Union Congregational Church in Connecticut. Besides his wife, Nancy, he is lovingly survived by; mother, Muriel Ann Baraw of Malone, NY, daughter, Nicole Baraw of Stafford Springs, CT,    sons, Dennis Baraw of Athens, GA, and Jeff Baraw of Lafayette, Tenn., step-sons, Jason Merritt of North Haven, CT, and Cody Merritt of Boston, MA, grandchildren, Kailey Baraw of Stafford Springs, CT, and Josh Baraw of Hartville, OH, and a sister, Pam (Dave) Plant of Malone, NY.
