Funeral Services for Rita Gayle (Lowhorn) Johns, age 57, of Lafayette, Tenn. were conducted on Mon., June 15 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Mike Rogers and Jerry Mercer officiating.

Keith Sewell, Josh Copas, Tyler Reid, David Bandy, Scotty Lynn, David Sewell, Todd Fox, Kaden Fox and Cody Spivey served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette. Rita Lowhorn Johns passed away, Fri. at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin. A native of Monroe County, KY, she was born on Thurs., Aug. 9, 1951, one of ten siblings born to the late Johnnie and Dessie (Thrasher) Lowhorn. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Lynn. Rita had worked in factories prior to becoming disabled. She attended the Lafayette Church of Christ for several years and later started attending the White Oak Church of Christ. She is survived by a son, Christopher Johns, sisters, Margaret Reid, Shirley (David) Sewell, Gaye Lowhorn, all of Lafayette, Tenn., Linda Copas of Hermitage Springs, Tenn., and Louise Pedigo of Toledo, OH, brothers, Jamie ( Shelia) Lowhorn, Johnny (Judy) Lowhorn, Ricky Lowhorn, all of Lafayette, Tenn.  The family requests memorials in the form of donations be made to the Rita Johns funeral fund.
