Paul Douglas Spears, age 73 years, of  Bethpage passed away, Mon.,  June 22, 2009. Funeral services for Mr. Spears were conducted Wed., June 24th from The Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home. Interment will be in Bethpage Upper Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughters Brenda & (Ricky) Hammock of Bethpage, Wanda & (Brad) Eidson of Gallatin and Jennifer and (Jarrett) Howser of Portland; sons Doug & (Cindy) Spears of Portland and Carl & (Janet) Spears of Red Boiling Springs; brothers Donald Spears of Bethpage, W.T. & (Theida) Spears of Bethpage, Hugh Allen 7 (Sarah) Spears of Adams, Tenn. and Frankie & (Phyllis) Spears of Bethpage; sister Faye & (Mike) Harmon of Clarksville, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Tandy Edgar Spears and Mattie Lucille Anderson; wife Elizabeth Ann Spears; son Paul David Spears; brothers Buck Spears and Michael Spears and sister Elizabeth Sadler. Mr. Spears was retired from the Sumner County Highway Dept.  He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
