Marie Stephens Souls, 72, of Pegram, passed away Wed., July 2, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services were conducted Mon., July 6, 2009 from Upton Funeral Home with Ronnie Parson officiating.

Mrs. Souls was born June 20, 1937 in Clay County to the late Joseph and Belva Gladys (Anderson) Meadows. She was a homemaker. She is survived by husband, Valma E. Souls; sons, Danny (Lisa) Stephens and Keith (Lisa) Stephens; daughter-in-law, Aletha Stephens; sisters, Jean finch, Kathy Kilmon, and Pandora Reagan; brothers, Russell, Willie and Bobby Meadows; step-daughters, Rebecca Sauls Russell; grandchildren, Danny (Mitchelle) Stephens, Jr., Nita Marie (Duane) Shoemake, Jessica (John) Fisher, and Michelle Stephens; 3 great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
