Hilda Davis Biles, age 86 of the Hermitage Springs Community in Clay County, Tenn., passed away Thurs., July 9, 2009 at the Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn. Funeral services for Hilda Davis Biles were be conducted Sat., July 11, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. with Jimmy Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Biles Cemetery.
Her family served as pallbearers. Mrs. Hilda was born May 11, 1923 in Jackson County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Jessie and Allie Davis. On Oct. 25, 1943, she married Andy Biles, who survives. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Ann Biles; half-sisters, Melba Mallinson and Velma Wilmes; half-brothers, Doyle and Leon Coons. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hermitage Springs Church of Christ. Survivors besides her husband, Andy of 65 years include daughters & sons-in-law, Wanda & Herman McCarter, Hermitage Springs Community, Barbara & Joe Proffitt, Red Boiling Springs, Brenda & Ray Ferguson, Bethpage; sons & daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Carolyn Biles, Murfreesboro, James & Beverly Biles, Hendersonville; Half-sisters, Mildred Cason, Nashville, Alma Holloway, Lancaster, CA, Elizabeth Jenkins, Gainesboro; half-brother, Charles Coons, Morton, IL.; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
