Mary Louise Rich departed this life on Sun., July 19, 2009 at T. J. Sampson Hospital in Glasgow, KY after a lengthy illness. A native of Elizabethtown, KY., she was born on May 31, 1927, one of six siblings born to the late Clarence and Bessie (Crowder) Franklin. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Loraine Franklin and Marie Dickerson, preceded her in death. She loved to read the Bible and her children gave her one of the greatest compliments a mother could receive and that was that she was a Christian, a Godly woman, and they never heard her talk negative about another person, never judged anyone and was always positive looking on the “bright” side of every situation that presented itself. Everyone enjoyed being around her.  She had no formal training, yet could play the piano, which she sometimes did for church, the organ, and spoons. She was a member of the Christian Gospel Temple in Bowling Green. In addition to her husband of almost 41 years, she is survived by, sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Janice Linder of Brentwood, Tenn., Stanley and Margo Linder of Coco Beach, FL, Brad and Nancy Linder of White House, Tenn., David and Evelyn Linder of Jackson, MS, daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Lester Snelling of White House, Tenn., Linda and Steve Morrell of Russellville, KY, Teri Payne of Glasgow, KY, brother, Prentice “Buddy” Franklin of Brownsville, TX, sister, Lucille Bonner of Indianapolis, IN, Madean Doreealoh of Indianapolis, IN, 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
