Wilma Lucille Sullivan, 84

Wilma Lucille Sullivan, better known as Lucille, age 84, of the Fairview Community in Macon County, Tenn., passed away July 21, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Fri., July 24, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder G.W. Knight officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery.

Wilma Lucille Sullivan was born on July 17, 1925 in Macon County, Tenn., to the late John William and Lucy Jane Brawner Hammock. She was married to Georgie Hilton Sullivan on Oct. 16, 1948, sharing fifty-one wonderful years together and raising a daughter; Georgie preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1999. Besides her husband and parents; five brothers, I.T. Hammock, Harris Hammock, M.V. Hammock, Cordell Hammock, Forrest Hammock, and a sister, Beatrice Cothron, also preceded her in death. Lucille was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and cooking. She worked for Hartsville Garment Company for thirteen years. She was a wife, mother, and grandmother that loved sharing her time with her family. Lucille was saved when she was a young girl and became a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. She is lovingly survived by; daughter, Carolyn (Brother J.C.) Cox of the Fairview Community in Macon County, Tenn., grandchildren, Michael Cox and girlfriend Regina, and Amy (Floyd) Price all of Lafayette, Tenn., six great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Knight and Velma Brandon both of Franklin, KY.
