Frances Elizabeth Gore Jones, 87

Frances Elizabeth Gore Jones, of Tompkinsville, KY., passed away July 28, 2009, in Tompkinsville, KY. Funeral services were conducted Sat., Aug. 1, 2009, at 2:00 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Guthrie Thompson officiating. Danny Jones, Larry Brown, Keith Allen, Larry Jones, James Jones, and Richard Jones served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Frances Elizabeth Gore was born on June 28, 1922 in Jackson County, Tenn., to the late William Pleas and Daisy Mae Brewington Gore. She was married to Elder Enloe Jones on Oct. 26, 1942, sharing sixty-six wonderful years together and raising six children; Elder Enloe Jones preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2008. Besides her husband and parents; a brother, Connie Gore and three sisters, De Mond Trisdale, Dorothy Anusiewicz, and Lula Bea Gore, also preceded her in death. Frances was a homemaker, who also operated the Jones General Store, owned by her and Elder Enloe in Moss, Tenn. She liked to sew; but cooking and spending time with her kids and their families was her love and passion.  Frances also enjoyed her flowers and working in her yard and garden. Through the years, Frances traveled with her husband in KY and TN as he pastured several churches and preached God’s word. She was a member of Meshack Missionary Baptist Church in Monroe County, KY. She is lovingly survived by; sons, Larry (Maria) Jones of Marietta, GA, James Jones of Gainesville, GA, Richard Jones of Tompkinsville, KY, daughters, Gloria (Larry) Brown of Reno, NV, Libby (John) Menefee of Franklin, Tenn., Jennifer Jones of Nashville, Tenn., brother, Bill (Vena) Gore of Spokane, WA, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends also survive.
