Funeral Services for James L Brown of Indianapolis were held Mon. Aug. 3, 2009. Mr. James L. Brown passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Mr. James L. Brown was born Feb. 1, 1930 in Hilham, Tennessee to the late Rosa (Dulworth) and Claude Brown. James serviced in the US Army from 1951-1953, serving 2 years in Germany. James worked at Stokely-Van Camp, Inc. for 34 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Southeastern church of Christ.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Ella Brown; brother, Raymond Brown; and son, James Brown.  James is survived by wife, Rosa Lee Dulworth; son, Jimmy Brown; daughters, Barbara Sims, Cathy Brown, Brenda (Ronnie) England, Linda Doody; and Tammy (Steve) Kauffman; 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, all of Indianapolis and brother, Paul Brown of Moss, Tenn. Funeral Services were conducted at Upton Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Miller officiating interment in Moss Cemetery.
