Larry Eugene Woodard Jr., 35

Larry Eugene Woodard Jr., better known as Eugene, age 35, of Lafayette, Tenn., passed away July 31, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Tues., Aug.4, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Gregory officiating. Leonard Latham, Dustin Jones, Jacob White, Devin Gregory, Lawrence Head, Harold York, and Cody Payne served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Larry Eugene Woodard Jr. was born on Oct. 7, 1973 in Trousdale County, Tenn., to parents; Larry Eugene Woodard Sr. of Pearl, Mississippi, and Teresia Gail Stafford Shrum of Lafayette, Tenn., who both survive. He was preceded in death by; grandparents, Robert Junior Stafford, Evie and Author Eugene Woodard, and a nephew, Corbin Brown. Larry was a young man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was always cutting up with his friends or lending a helping hand to anyone who needed him. Larry could fix anything, but he enjoyed working on lawnmowers and cars the most. He liked to ride horses and motorcycles, when he could. But spending time with his family and friends is what he loved best. He truly loved children, and he would always take time to play with the kids growing up around him. He was saved by God’s grace as a young man and he was of the Missionary Baptist Belief. He is lovingly survived by; mother, Teresia Shrum of Lafayette, Tenn., father, Larry (Lisha) Woodard of Pearl, MS, daughter, Lisa Marie Woodard of Manchester, Tenn., granddaughter, Katria, brothers, Terry Woodard of Lafayette, Tenn. and Cody Payne of Pearl, MS, sisters, Holly Dickerson of Carthage, TN, Anna Morton of Pearl, MS, and Kisha Barclay of Carthage, Tenn., grandmother, Moline Ramsey and Paul Stafford, Grandfather, Marvin (Mary) Cox, uncles, Larry, Johnny, Terry Stafford, and Ricky Woodard, aunts, Robbie Coffee and Mary Anderson, nephews, Terry Allen Woodard, Jr. and Nathaniel Lee Woodard, Samuel Egan Brown, Zachary Evan Morton, and Zach Barclay, nieces, Ashley Gayle Woodard, Lesley Ann Thuesen, Lindsey Barclay, Brandy Barclay, and Adriana Deshea Woodard, close cousins, Larry Dale Stafford, Daniel Stafford, Randy Wayne Mungle, Josh Stafford, several other cousins; also survive.
