Lawrence Bibby, 59

Lawrence Bibby, age 59, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., passed away Aug. 2, 2009, at his residence. Funeral services were conducted Wed., Aug. 5, 2009 from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Landy Presley and Brother Kenneth Wix officiating.  Larry Hagan, Jerry King, Cody York, Chris York, Harold Akins, and Nathan Wilkerson served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Lawrence Bibby was born on Aug. 25, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to the late John Benjamin and Ollie Mae Hopson Bibby. Besides his parents; three brothers, John Robert Bibby, Cecil Bibby, and Charles Bibby, also preceded him in death. As a young man, Lawrence had been married to the former Jacqueline Louise Barber for eight years, raising a son and daughter. Lawrence had worked in landscaping for Farrin’s Tree Service when he first moved to this area. After leaving Farrin’s, he operated his own business for a few years doing various landscaping jobs. Then he worked at Knollwood Manor for a period of time, and he was later employed by Kittrell’s Mowing Service. He enjoyed going to surrounding grocery stores and restaurants to have coffee and talk to friends that came in. His past time was sitting on the porch; chewing tobacco and drinking coffee. He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. He is lovingly survived by; son, Chris Bibby of Lafayette, Tenn., daughter, Gina Bibby and grandson, Nathanial Scott both of  Adolphus, KY, brothers, John Bibby of Lafayette, Tenn., George Bibby of Nashville, Tenn., Ervin Bibby of Murfreesboro, Tenn., David Bibby of Tuscaloosa, AL, and a sister, Linda Bibby of Tuscaloosa, AL.
