Funeral services for Rosie Massingille, age 80, of Celina were held here Wed., Sep. 2, 2009. Rosie Nell Massingille passed away Mon., Aug. 31, 2009 at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tenn.

Mrs. Massingille was born May 8, 1929 in Celina, Tenn. to the late Andrew and Lou (Crowder) Stephens. She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by step-sons, John Assac Massingille , David Massingille; step-daughter, Ruby Brannon; brother, Willie Hermon Stephens, Charlie Stephens, Millard Stephens, Frank Stephens; sisters, Della Slone, Wilma Scott and Myrtle Lee Scott. Rosie is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Massingille of Celina, Tenn., Bobby (Linda) Massingille and Mitchell (Donna) Massingille; Daughter, Renita Allen of Celina, Tennessee; step-daughters, Velma Burton of Somerset, Kentucky, Christine Williams of Celina, Tenn., Mary Ruth Maye of Moss, Tenn.; grandchildren, Stephen Allen, Marie Harding, Starlotte Bilbrey, Angie Weaver, Pamela Davis, Bobbie Sue Choate, Alison Massingille and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Upton Funeral Home with Freddie Looper officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Michael Williams, Stephen Allen, Jason Bilbrey, Noah Choate, Daryl Ledbetter and Thomas Weaver.
