Funeral Services for Wilma Lee Haley, age 74, of the Hillsdale Community, in Macon County,Tenn. were conducted on Fri., Sept. 4, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elders Harold Dean Linville and Jackie Dillehay officiating. Scott Amonette, Lonnie Garrett, Wendell Atkinson, Jerry Lewis, Ronnie Atkinson and Jeff Jones served as pallbearers. Interment was in the Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon County, Tenn.
Wilma Lee Haley passed away on Tues. evening, Sept. 1, 2009 at her residence. A native of Fentress County, Tenn., she was born on Sun., Dec. 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Lee Halk Jones and Minta (Hicks) Jones. She was married on July 12, 1956 to Edgar Lee “Peaty” Haley, who survives. Her brothers, Edgar, Loy and Ogle Jones preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and had worked for Carter Automotive in Lafayette. She was a member of the Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her husband of 53 years, she is survived by, Daughters, Vicki and husband (Toney) Byrn, Lisa Haley, and Son, Michael Haley all of the Hillsdale Community, Daughter, Patricia and husband (Jerry) Lewis, son Jackie Lee Haley; Brother, Ronald Jones, Sisters, Wanda Goss, and Carolyn Caruthers all of Crossville, Tenn., Alma Hamilton of Dickson, Tenn., Dean Atkinson of Deer Lodge, Tenn., Rosella LaRue of Banner Springs, Tenn., Norma Henry of Chattanooga, Tenn., 3 Grandchildren, Christi Lewis Moss of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Erica Lewis of Chattanooga, Tenn., Michael Lee Haley, II of Gallatin; 3 great-grandchildren, Chesney, Michael, & Bella Moss all of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
