“Chris” Cosentino, 80

Funeral Services for “Chris” Cosentino, age 80, of Lafayette, Tenn. were conducted on Fri., Sept. 18, 2009 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Chuck Pruitt officiating. Edward Swanson, Dennis Perkins, Paul Swanson, Scot Swanson, Raymond Schack, Tommy Dillehay and the grandchildren of Mr. Cosentino served as Honorary Pallbearers. Interment of the cremains was in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park in Lafayette, Tenn. 

“Chris” Cosentino passed away on the morning of Sept. 15, 2009 at Sumner Hospice in Gallatin, Tenn. A native of Chautauqua County, New York, Christy Salvatore Cosentino was born on Feb. 6, 1929, the son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Oddo) Cosentino. He was married to the former Betty Raab on Jan. 9, 1967, who survives and lives in Lafayette. He was a retired Teamster and a truck driver for forty years. He served his country in the United States Army being inducted on June 19, 1951 to the Ready Reserve (Active Status). He served in Korea and was honorably discharged on March 13, 1957. He was a member of the Mt. Union United Methodist Church. Besides his wife of over 42 years, he is survived by children, David (Colleen) Boggs of Oregon, Nancy (Edward) Swanson, Lafayette, Tenn., Nanette (Dennis) Perkins, Defeated Community of Smith County, Tammy (Raymond) Schack, New York, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
