Helen Francis Pedigo, age 85,

  Helen Francis Pedigo, age 85, a resident of the Palace Health and Rehab in Red Boiling Springs, Tenn. formerly of Fountain Run, KY passed away Sun., Sept. 20, 2009 at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tenn.

 


Funeral Services for Helen Francis Pedigo were conducted on Thurs., Sept. 24, 2009 from the Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run, KY with Brother Bill Kinslow officiating. Interment followed in the Fountain Run Cemetery. Richard Hagan, Jimmy Goodman and Shawn Spears served as honorary Pallbearers and Joe Hood, Steven Hood, Brad Mansfield, Nick Mansfield, Ryan Yokley and Wayne Pedigo served as Pallbearers. Helen was born on May 8, 1924 in Barren County, KY, one of seven siblings born to the late Clarence and Lena Hazel (Marr) Jordan. She married the late Denton “Denny” Pedigo on March 3, 1941, who preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1994. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Earline Hood, brothers, Jack, Conrad, Stanley “Rusty” and John Jordan, and sister, Alma Logsdon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church.  She is survived by, son & daughter-in-law, Johnnie Murl and Edna Pedigo of Fountain Run, KY, sister, Virginia Atkinson of Scottsville, KY, 5 grandchildren, Loretta Mansfield and Susan Yokley both of Fountain Run, KY, Steven Hood and Vicky Crabtree both of Glasgow, KY and Lisa Gerald of the Sulphur Lick Community in Monroe County, KY, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
