ALICE LUCILLE JENKINS, age 84

  passed away October 2, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services for Lucille Jenkins were conducted Sunday, October 4, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Dean Dyer officiating.  Kimmy Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Tyler Wilson, Jimmy Fishburn, Eddie Rich III, and Shane Reed served as pallbearers.  Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Lucille was born on April 20, 1925 in Macon County, TN, to her parents; Herbert Cass and Ophie Ramsey Wright, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Lucille was married to Willie “Bill” White in 1942, they shared a daughter, Shirley; Bill preceded Lucille in death just two years later.  In 1946, she was married to Claude “Red” Jenkins, sharing almost fifty years together, he preceded her in death on November 28, 1996.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Walter Lee Wright.  
Ms. Lucille worked for Form-Fit Rogers for several years, before retiring in 1974. She loved to quilt, work in her flower beds, and read books.   Ms. Lucille was a loving and kind person who was willing to help anyone in need. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother; who enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and attended the Church Of Christ.
Ms. Lucille is lovingly survived by; Daughter, Shirley Wilson, Grandson, Kimmy and wife Donna Wilson all of Lafayette, TN, Granddaughter, Janet Wilson Rich of Scottsville, KY, 6 Great-grandchildren, and 5 Great-great-grandchildren.
