Gulfport, Mississippi on Monday, October 26, 2009.

Gulfport, Mississippi on Monday, October 26, 2009.
Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, November 14th, at 12 noon, from
the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel, 209 E. Locust Street, Lafayette, TN with Reverend Larry Meadors officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday, November 14th, from 10 a.m. until noon service time.
He was born on July 17, 1952 to his parents, Beverly Godchaux Doty and the late Mack Hudson Roy. Besides his father; stepfather, Edward Doty, also preceded him in death.
Charles served in the United States Navy on the USS Enterprise. He worked many fields during his career including offshore, fireman, policeman, Louisiana State Trooper, DuPont in Old Hickory, TN and general construction. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of thirty- seven years, Sharlene Landry Roy of Dixon Springs, TN, formerly of Houma, mother, Beverly Godchaux Doty, Two Children, Charles Albert Roy Jr., of Romulus, Michigan, and Dana Marie Richardson of Dixon Springs, TN, four siblings, Beverly Quezada, of Denham Springs, LA, Mack Hudson La Roy of Cottontown, TN, Lois Roy Irick of Bayou Blue, LA, and Sidney John Roy of Morgan City, LA, and six grandchildren, Madison Roy, Virginia Roy, Haley Roy, Tyler Roy, Joshua Roy and Caleb Richardson.
