Cecil “Buddy” Morrison, age 86, of Louisville, KY formerly of the Tracy Community in Barren County, KY passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at The Veteran’s Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Cecil “Buddy” Morrison, age 86, of Louisville, KY formerly of the Tracy Community in Barren County, KY passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at The Veteran’s Hospital in Lexington, KY.  Funeral Services for Cecil “Buddy” Morrison were conducted on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from the Hughes Funeral Chapel in Fountain Run, KY with Brothers Dexter Bacon and C.G. Morrison officiating.  Interment followed in the Union # 1 Cemetery in Barren County, KY. Gary and Michael Morrison, Dennis and Matthew Thomasson, Ricky Huff, and Bobby Wayne Morrison served as Pallbearers.
“Buddy” was born on December 27, 1922 in Barren County, KY, the son of the late Hezzie and Celia (Carter) Morrison.  Other than his parents, his brother Leo Morrison, sisters, Geneva and Edith Morrison and Nelda Whitehead preceded him in death.  He was a retired farmer, United States Army Veteran, a member of the VFW and American Legion in New Albany, Indiana.  He lived many years of his life in New Albany and New Middletown, Indiana and was a member of the Union # 1 Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by, brother, Earl (Jennie) Morrison, sisters, Ruby Russell, and Willa Dean (George) Steffee all of Louisville, KY and a host of nieces and nephews.
