Alice Rulene Stafford, better known as Rulene departed this life on December 08, 2009, at the age of 66 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Friday, December 11th, at 1 p.m., from chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Terry Austin officiating. Mike Scruggs and Larry Stafford served as honorary pallbearers. Earl Stafford, Mickey Gregory, Glen Foss, Steve Steenbergen, Elvis Frazier, and Larry Brawner served as active pallbearers. Interment followed in the Anderson and Son Memorial Park.
Rulene was born on November 23, 1943 in Macon County, TN, to her parents; the late Tillman McKinley and Lassie Arrilla Bohanon Krantz. She was married to Earl Franklin Stafford on April 13, 1968, sharing forty-one years together.
Besides her parents; infant daughter, Patricia Lynn Carter, brothers, Charles Lynn Krantz, Veston D. Krantz, and Roger Laddie Krantz, also preceded her in death. She worked for different garment factories in Macon County such as; Lafayette Apparel and the Fashion Group. Rulene loved to sew, make quilts and cook for her family. She worked in her flower beds, liked to walk in the woods looking for ginseng and feed and watched the birds. Rulene was a very unselfish person who always thought of others, before herself. She loved talking, laughing and being with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Rulene was of the Baptist Belief. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rulene is survived by; husband, Earl Stafford of Lafayette, TN, daughter, Darlene and husband Steve Aulick, son, Charlie Carter, brother, E. B. Krantz, sisters, Evelyn and husband John Steenbergen, Lassie Sanders, all of Lafayette, TN, Jerry Hackett of Red Boiling Springs, TN, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, also survive.
