Joe Ryan Breeding, age 80, of Nashville, TN, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Southern Hills Medical Center.

 


Joe Ryan Breeding, age 80, of Nashville, TN, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Southern Hills Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, December 12th, at 1 p.m., from Hampton’s Crossroads Baptist Church with Elder Ricky Wilson officiating. Michael Breeding, Mark Breeding, Bill Steed, Red Goodwin, Roger Daniels, and Keith Hauskins served as pallbearers. Interment followed in the Howard Cemetery.
He was born on June 22, 1929 in White County, TN, to his parents; Willard Demps and Ida Saylors Breeding, they both preceded him in death.
Besides his parents; brother, David Breeding, sisters, Katherine Fudge and Anne Crossnine, also preceded him in death.
Joe entered the Navy in October of 1950, where he and his brother, Demps, served on a submarine for four years together, during the Korean War. After returning home he went to work for Bell South as a lineman and after several years of service, went to work in the communication department, retiring after twenty-eight years. Joe loved traveling to Montana, North and South Dakota, and other states out west were he would hunt and fish; he especially liked to hunt Pheasant. He was a member of the Hampton’s Crossroads Baptist Church in Sparta, TN. Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joe is survived by; brothers, Demps Breeding, Charlie Breeding both of Lafayette, TN, Harold “Butch” Breeding of Sparta, TN, sisters, Willene Steed,
Suzie Turpin, Shirley Smith, and Judy Hucklby, all of Nashville, TN, several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Betty Campbell, also survive.
