Bonnie Cherry York

Funeral Services for Bonnie Cherry York, age 84, of Red Boiling Springs and formerly of the Walnut Shade Community in Macon County, TN, were conducted Friday afternoon, January 22, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Reverend Doug Lee officiating. Interment followed in the Neal Cemetery in Flippin, KY.  Her family and friends served as pallbearers.

Bonnie passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 20, 2010 at The Palace in Red Boiling Springs, TN. A native of Clay County, TN, she was the youngest of eight siblings born September 13, 1925 to the late Rad and Mary Green Cherry.  On June 4, 1966, she married Burford York, who preceded her in death on January 12, 1987.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by all of her sisters, Ada Cross, Etta Cook, Alta Morgan and  brothers, Sammy, Aubie, Carlie and William, better known as “Bill” Cherry.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist Church.Survivors include: several nieces and nephews.
