Homer Webb, Jr., 69

Funeral Services for Homer Webb, Jr., age 69 of the Willette Community in Macon County, TN were conducted Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Pastor Fred Davis officiating. Interment followed in the Thomas Cemetery with military honors.  His family served as pallbearers.

Homer passed away Saturday evening, January 16, 2010, at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.  He was born October 19, 1940 in Haywood, North Carolina, the son of the late Homer and Martha Gibson Webb.  On June 15, 1972, he married Tennie Petty, who survives.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Duncan and brother, Bob Webb.  Homer was a retired maintenance worker for the Saint Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Illinois with 30 years of service.  He proudly served his country in the army during Vietnam receiving a National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with device 60. Survivors besides his wife, Tennie of 37 years include: daughters, Lisa Wilm, Willette, Lorie Carter, Carthage, sons & daughters-in-law, Steven & Bonnie Harville, Chestnut Mound, Gary & Darlene Harville, Gallatin, Michael & Victoria Webb, Joliet, IL, sisters & brother-in-law, , Mary & Tony Baker, North Carolina, Shirley Fogle, South Carolina, Brothers & Sisters-in-law, Harold & Barbara Webb, Gene & Kathy Webb all of North Carolina, 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
