Larry Wayne Cates, 69

Larry Wayne Cates, age 69, of  Westmoreland passed away, Fri., Jan. 22, 2010 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mr. Cates were held, Sun., Jan. 24 from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Key officiating.

Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. He is survived by his sister Carol Wilkerson and husband Don of Westmoreland and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernie T. and Vangie Lee Angela Cates; brothers Leon Cates, Collins Cates, Billy Cates, Jimmy Cates, Thomas Cates, Donald Cates, John Lewis Cates and Harold Cates and sisters Francis White and Minnie Troutt. Mr. Cates serviced his country in the U.S. Marines  and retired from Chrysler Corporation after having worked for a number of years.
