Roberta Troutt Akins, 88

Roberta Troutt Akins, age 88, of Westmoreland, passed away Wed., Jan. 27 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Akins will be held, Sat., Jan. 30th from the Chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Duffer, Bro. Daryl Braswell and Bro. Eugene May officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons David Akins of Bowling Green, KY, Wayne Akins of Bethpage and Mike & (Peggy) Akins of Westmoreland; sister Maidelle Bell of Westmoreland; brothers Carl & (Christina) Troutt of Gallatin and Ramie & (Glenda) Troutt of Westmoreland; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents Smiley and Lolar Perry Troutt; husband Paul Moore Akins; son Lloyd Neal Akins; sisters Mary Lou Troutt, Myrtle Troutt, Minnie Norris Ray, Dean McClard and JoAnn Born; brothers Leroy Troutt, Jack Troutt, Cantrell Troutt and Eugene Troutt. Mrs. Akins was retired a retired nurse and worked at Highland Hospital and Sumner Regional Medical Center.  She was a member of the Eastern Star.  She was a member of Providence General Baptist Church.
