Funeral Services for Katherine Driver were conducted on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Elder Jeff Blackwell officiating.

Matt Simpson, Cliff Driver, Jimmy Dallas, Chip Gose, Tommy Roark, and Bud Wright served as Pallbearers.  Interment was in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park.  May Katherine Driver was born in Macon County, Tennessee on Wednesday, July 18, 1917, the oldest of four siblings born to the late Houston and Marion Harwood West.  She was married to Jesse Earl Driver on August 12, 1934, who preceded her in death on April 22, 1996.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Driver, daughter, Shirley Gipson, brother, Edward West, sister, Lucille Swindle, half-sister, Mable Swindle and Jewel East and half-brother, Leon East.  She was retired from the Macon County Extension office with the University of Tennessee Agriculture and Nutrition Program with 15 years of service.  Katherine was a member of the Antioch Missionary Church.   She loved to quilt, cross stitch, and was a perfectionist at any kind of needle work.  She and her husband farmed, having dairy cattle and producing tobacco.  Ms. Driver is survived by: Daughter & son-in-law, Mary & John Wheeley of Lafayette, Son and daughter-in-law, Jesse & Pam Driver of Maryland, Brother, Carl West of Lafayette, daughter-in-law, Betty Driver Moore, Son-In-Law, Jerry McGhee, Grandchildren & Spouses, Becky & Donnie Steen, Rita Driver, Wanetta & Jimmy Dallas, Tammy & Chip Gose, Cliff  Driver & Jennifer & Matt Simpson, Step grandson, Michael Gipson & wife Tammy, Great-Grandchildren, Bridget Jones, Tracy Steen and Heath Gose , step-great grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter and Sagar Gipson, great-great-grandchildren, Brooke, Dylon and Brittany Slayton, Caleb Jones and a host of friends and relatives.
