Funeral services for Ronnie Doney will be conducted Saturday, February 27 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook, Montana with Interment to follow in the St. Paul’s Mission Cemetery in Hays, Montana. Local visitation with the family was Monday, February 22 from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, Tennessee.

Besides his parents; sisters, Betty Jean Doney and Clare Cochran, brothers, George Doney, Buzz Doney, Lawrence “Peanut” Doney, Jasper Doney, Curtis Doney, and Sanford Doney, also preceded him in death.
Ronnie was raised on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Montana, he was of the Cros Ventre Tribe; he later became a Cop and Security Officer on the Reservation. He had been married in earlier life and had one son and one daughter. On December 1, 2008, Ronnie married Marie Marsh Doney; Marie survives.
In the early 90’s he moved to Nashville where he wrote music and play guitar; at this time he worked as a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed training and riding his own horses, and working out in the gym.
Ronnie was saved later in life and joined Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Madison, Tennessee where he remained a member. He was a loving husband and father that will be missed deeply.
He is lovingly survived by; wife, Marie Doney of Fountain Run, KY, son, Farron Doney and daughter, Ina Fox of Montana, brothers, Basil Doney, and Ervin (Ronda) Doney, sisters, Karlene Cochran, Katherine Doney, and Evelyn Doney all of Hays, Montana, six grandchildren; also survive.
