Version:1.0 StartHTML:0000000196 EndHTML:0000003411 StartFragment:0000002615 EndFragment:0000003375 SourceURL:file://localhost/Users/computer/Desktop/obitsw:Pics/Billie%20Ruth%20Gregory.doc Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Ruth Gregory, age 69, of Lafayette, Tennessee, were held Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of  Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Clinton Davenport officiating.   Pallbearers were Mark Eden, Joseph Brawner, Billy Brawner, Clint Dean, Briley Williams, and Coty Gregory.  Honorary pallbearers were Scott Gregory, Ricky Eden, and Scott Brawner.  Interment was in Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Gregory passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Billie Ruth Gregory was born August 22, 1940, in Macon County, the daughter of the late Haskell Odis and Lola Genevia Cox Brawner.  She was a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.  Besides her parents, Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her second husband, Herschel “Shorty” Williams. Mrs. Gregory leaves behind her husband, Jerry Gregory, of Lafayette; three daughters, Dianna (Dale) Dean of Lafayette, Kathy Fisher of Lafayette, and Melissa Bullington and companion, Scott Gregory, of Portland; a son, Tony (Tonya) Williams of Lafayette; stepson, Josh Robinson of Westmoreland; two sisters, Jo Helen Ford of Lafayette and Betty Jean (Billy) Wheeler of Red Boiling Springs; five brothers, Jimmy Brawner, Alton (Betty) Brawner, Maxie (Pauletta) Brawner, Jackie Brawner, and Jerry (Loretta) Brawner, all of the Rocky Mound Community; eight grandchildren, Clint (Christina) Dean, Nicki Dean, Heather (Mark) Allen, Ethan Stewart, Coty Gregory, Katlin Gregory, Briley Williams, and Jade Williams; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Gregory’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ donation.
