Funeral services for Connie Wade Coons were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Hugh Wayne Clark officiating.  Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery.

He was born in Clay County, Tennessee on November 16, 1947 to the late Odell and Lassie Lucinda Davis Coons. Besides his parents, one brother, Odell Coons, Jr.; also preceded him in death.
Connie married the love of his life Carolyn Russell on October 27, 1967, sharing seventeen years together and raising one son and one daughter, until cancer took Carolyn from him in 1984. He was a caring and loving father and grandfather, who loved the time he spent with his family. Connie enjoyed cutting up with everyone and making them laugh.
Connie was disabled, but enjoyed hunting in his younger youth. After he became unable to hunt, he began collecting knives and guns which he enjoyed very much. He was of the Church of Christ Belief. Connie will be greatly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
Connie is survived by; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and husband Michael Garnett, one son, Tony Coons all of Red Boiling Springs, TN, brother and sister-in-law, Danny and wife Brenda Coons of Cottontown, TN, sisters and brothers-in-law,
Betty and husband Floyd Pedigo, Barbara Morgan, and Shirley and husband Dennis Gentry, grandchildren, Chelsea Tuck, and Cody Garnett all of Red Boiling Springs, TN, several nieces and nephews; also survive.
