Funeral Services for Wayne Davis were conducted Sunday afternoon, April 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with E. C. Meadows officiating. Interment followed in the Davis Family Cemetery.

His pallbearers were Richard Davis, Douglas Davis, Corey Davis, Stevie Davis, Kenny Davis and Bryan Cross. He was born March 18, 1940 in Clay County, TN, the son of the late Duel and Dola Age Davis.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Rubel and Gordon Davis. He was a truck driver for F & M Manufacturing in Lafayette with 10 years of service, served as a former Clay County Constable for 8 years and attended the Leonard Church of Christ. Survivors include: daughters, Martenna Cook, Indianapolis, IN, Teresa Davis, Greenwood, IN, Mary Diddock, and Heather McDonner both of Lafayette, son & daughter-in-law, David & Shannon Davis, Indianapolis, IN, sisters & brothers-in-law, Georgia Pedigo, Bradenton, FL, Wilma Cross, Red Boiling Springs, Wanda & Ed Pedigo, Charlotte & Kenneth Bean, brothers & sisters-in-law, James Davis, Donald Lee & Lou Renia Davis all of the Leonard Community, Lowell & Ina Davis, Bowling Green, KY, Ivon & Ann Davis, Lafayette, TN, 13 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
