Funeral Services for Janet Cassandra Key were conducted Fri. afternoon, April 16, 2010 from the chapel of the Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Stan Stevenson and Timothy McHenry officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Janet  was born Wed., March 25, 1964 in Smith County, TN, the daughter of J. D. and Laura Maddux Key of the Union Hill Community in Clay County, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her brother, J.D. Key, Jr.  Janet was a member of the Rome Church of Christ and was a former Cook at the Palace in Red Boiling Springs with 3 years of service until she became disabled. Survivors besides her parents, J. D. & Laura include: daughter, Dawn Duke, Carthage, son & daughter-in-law, Carlos & Amy Duke, Lebanon, brothers, Wade Key, Lawrenceville, GA, Jamey Key, Greenwood, IN, Jay Key, Tompkinsville, KY, Joshua Key, Union Hill Community, granddaughters, Alicia & Laura Duke, Grandsons, James Johnson, Kaleb Duke, Andreas Maye.
