Sandra Witcher Comer, 62 of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010, at
 the Monroe Co. Medical Center in Tompkinsville, KY. She was born in Memphis, TN,
on January 26, 1948 to the late Kenneth Witcher and Maitred  Neel Witcher. She was a
Dental Office Manager, Teacher and Substitute Teacher in Macon Co., TN and Monroe
 Co., KY, a member of The First Baptist Church of Tompkinsville, Founding member of
the Monroe County Republican Womens  Organization, Church Librarian and member of
the William B. Harlan  Memorial Library Board.  She was united in marriage to Dr.
James R. “Sam” Comer on  December 23, 1971 in Monroe County, KY.
She is survived by her husband: Dr. James R. “Sam” Comer, Sr. of Tompkinsville, KY
two sons and daughters-in-law: State Representative James R. “Jamie” Jr. and T.J. 
Comer, of Tompkinsville, KYChad and Amy Comer of Gamaliel, KY

two brothers and sisters-in-law: Ken and Susan Witcher of Red Boiling Springs, TN
Russ and Tera Witcher of Cookeville, TN two sisters and brothers-in-law: Sue Lynn and Fred Smith of Red Boiling Springs, TN Deborah and Mike Prock of Lafayette, TN    four grandchildren.

 Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, April 27, at 1:PM at First Baptist Church of
Tompkinsville, under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. Bro. Steve James & Dr. Tom
Stokes officiated. Burial was in Monroe Co. Memorial Lawn.
 Pallbearers were Roy Turner, Kenneth Rowland, John Shirley, Morris Adams, Shawn Guffey, Lewis Darrell Carter, Mike Gee, & Carl Mangrum.
 Honorary Pallbearers were: John Jordan, Raymond Hammer, Charles Hale, Billy Paul Smith, Larry Turner, Carolyn Crowe, Wilma Murphy, Betty Proffitt, Sue Murray, Dr. Kim Eakle, Dr. K. R. Crabtree, Dorothy Pare, Andrea McAlpin, Charlie Strode.
