Funeral Services for David Hayden Shrum were conducted Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Macon County High School Auditorium with Reverend Kenny Sullivan officiating. Bryan Satterfield, Ron Allen Powell, Buddy Leonard, Scotty Sutton, Grant Malo, Rodger Gregory, Timmy Lowhorn, and David Neighbors served as Honorary Pallbearers. Adam Bandy, Jordan Carver, Bo Cook, Reagan Newberry, Mike Crosland, Scotty Clariday, Dustin Marr, and Daniel Carr served as Active Pallbearers.

Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. He was born in Sumner County, Tennessee on November 17, 1986 to David Dewayne Shrum and Jerri Fellisha Deering Shrum; they survive. He was preceded in death by; grandfathers, Jerry Deering and J.T Shrum. Hayden was a 2005 graduate from Macon County High School, and a 2007 graduate of Volunteer State Community College with an Associates Degree. He was completing his Bachelor’s degree at MTSU. Hayden played baseball all four years in high school and continued to play at Vol-State as a pitcher. He attended Pleasant Hill General Baptist Church. He cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Hayden is survived by; mother, Fellisha Shrum, father, David Shrum, sisters, Hunter Shrum, and Halle Shrum, brother, Holden Shrum all of Lafayette, Paula Gregory of Hartsville,Tennessee and Bill and Bonnie Stone of Lafayette, step-grandmother, June Shrum of Lafayette, fiancee, April Stone of Hermitage, Tennessee, and a host of family and friends; also survive. Arrangements by the Alexander Funeral Home.
