Funeral services for Carol Jean Oliver were conducted Sunday, June 27, at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend David Spears and Brother Donald Slayton officiating. Interment followed in the Fairview Cemetery.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by; brothers, Melvin Farley, W. T. Farley, and O. C. Farley, and sisters, Annie B. Knight and Louise Sullivan.
Mrs. Carol enjoyed life and she loved being with her family and many friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to fish and be outdoors. It was said that she had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening. She loved growing things and admiring her flowers. She was a member of the East Main Missionary Baptist Church in Hartsville, TN. She was a loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Carol is survived by; husband, Billy Oliver of Hartsville, TN, son, Gary Farley of the Gravely Hill Community in Macon County, daughter, Penny and husband Randy Slayton of Westmoreland, TN, sister, Lois Sullivan of Westmoreland, TN, Close Friend and “Adopted Grand-Daughter,” Tabitha Clark, 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
