MR. CHARLES E. SLAYTON – age 70 of Lafayette, passed away early Sunday morning July 11, at his residence.  Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Slayton will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Mike Eib officiating.  Interment will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time.

He is survived by, Wife,Joyce Slayton of Lafayette, Daughters and Sons-in-law,

Lynn and Mike Eib of Nashville, Karen “Sweet pea” and Rush Williams of Springfield. Grandchildren, Charlie Eib of Lafayette, Brooke (Josh) Eib-Mann of Gastonia, N. C.

Haley “Sallie” Williams, Paul “Clyde” Williams both of Springfield. Great Grandchild,

Emily Mann of Gastonia, N. C.; Sister, Alice Katherine (Ron) Mominee of Lafayette. Special Niece, Debbie Sacker of Casco, Michigan
