Funeral Services for Calson Doss were conducted on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder J. B. Shoulders officiating. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.

Donnie Gann, Jeff Hughes, Donald Gann, Wayne Evetts, Kenny Evetts, Danny Evetts, and John Frye served as honorary pallbearers. Charlie Frye, Brian Evetts, Adam Evetts, Devan Frye, Glen Doss, and T. J. Racki served as pallbearers.
Calson was born in Macon County, Tennessee on July 26, 1932 to the late Elzie Samuel and Grace Truman Fishburn Doss. Rabbit was married to the love of his life, Ruby Nell Evetts on Dec. 23, 1960. Together they shared forty-nine years raising two children, Connie and Tim. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by; a brother, Curtis Doss and a sister, Evelle Doss.
Rabbit worked for North Central Telephone Cooperative for 27 years before retiring in 1990. In his spare time from work, he loved hunting and fishing. Also, he was a huge sports fan that enjoyed participating in or watching sports. His favorite sport was baseball in which he enjoyed coaching or umpiring ball games for several years. However, in his later years, his grandchildren stole his attention. They were it in his eyes.
Most importantly, Rabbit was saved while in the military during the Korean Conflict. He later joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where he remained a member the rest of his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by; son, Tim Doss of Lafayette, TN, Daughter and Son-in-law, Connie and Ricky Rather of Lafayette, TN, Brother, Kenneth and Vonza Doss, Hendersonville, TN, Granddaughters, Whitney Lashea and husband T.J. Racki of Clarksville, TN, and Leah Grace Rather of Lafayette, TN, Great-Grandson, Jacob Owen Racki of Clarksville, TN, Sister-in-law, Lena Doss of Goodletsville, TN.
