Linda Gale Perdue was born Monday, April 30th 1945, and was the oldest daughter of the late Bill Perdue and Hassie Mai Perdue of the Rocky Mound Community of Macon County. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Bill Perdue and a brother, James Henry Perdue.

At a very young age, Linda made her preparation for her final journey.  She was saved, July 11, 1961, and she united with Rocky Mound Missionary Baptist Church later that same year, where she remained a member until her death.

Linda always thought of others, even in her weakest moments.  She was concerned for all, especially the children.  She knew that it was very important to help others, and every month she donated to those less fortunate.  She was always there to lend a hand and let others know how much she cared.

Linda attended Western Kentucky University and received some education in accounting.  She worked for Cook & Co. Accounting in Bowling Green, Kentucky as the office Manager for 8 years.  She later went to work for Citizens Bank, of Bowling Green, for 12 years as their Computer Programmer.  For the last 15 years prior to her illness, she worked at Wal-Mart here in Lafayette in the electronics department.  In Linda’s professional life, she had also been a member and past President of the American Business Women’s Association of Bowling Green, KY.

As was said, Linda always wanted to help others.  With this, the family request instead of sending flowers, please make a donation to the Macon Helps Terminal Illness Fund, to help others fight the battle she fought for six years.

Linda is survived by; her mother, Hassie Mai Perdue, her sister, Kathy Perdue, her brothers, Mike Perdue,  Myron Perdue and wife, Gail, her nephew, Christopher Kuykendall and wife, Nicky, and their children, Zoe and Logan, her niece, Brandy Keith, and husband, Daniel, and their children, Brandon and Isaac, and, many cousins who cherished Linda as a big sister.
